Rhino Mabati Factory LTD the leading manufacturer of custom made roofing solutions and Light Gauge Steel is looking at filling positions of Sale Engineers
The Sales Engineer position is an exciting opportunity. The successful SE will use their technical expertise to influence private engineers, owners, public agencies and contractors to promote company products.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience in the of field of Sales & Marketing
- Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Understands technical issues
- Engineering / Architectural background is an added advantage
- Prior experience in a construction / manufacturing company
- Have the ability to network and develop contact in the steel fabrication industry
- Have knowledge in steel and the ability to understand fabrication drawings
- Have good knowledge in AutoCAD
- Must have good knowledge of the local market
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Past experience working with LGS designer FRAMECAD and VERTEX software will be an added advantage
- Able to work well in a team.
The SE will be responsible for the following:
- Initiate and manage value engineering proposals in close collaboration with project engineer and customers
- Develop new construction applications using company products
- Technical sales support
- Review plans and specifications and generate material takeoffs.
- Meet engineering firms, public agencies, and contractors to get more clientele
- Investigate jobsite claims and complaints related to products. Work with the relevant parties to resolve such issues quickly
- Continuously educate customers and local sales team on new and existing product information
- Collect, interpret and report information on competitor’s products, activity and technical support
Successful candidate will:
- Maintain a thorough technical understanding of the design, manufacturing and distribution of the products
- Understand the basic construction process from concept to project completion, allowing the candidate to see the best possible avenue for saving customers and clients’ time and money
